This Early Key-Wind Music Box was made circa 1840s by the Ducconim-Girod Firm of Geneva, Switzerland. The 8 airs are listed on the original Tune label. This bears all the usual characteristics from this period including the Slendor case, “Dragon’s breath” interior and unusual Inlay and Marquetry to the case lid. The sound is beautiful with a very bell like tone to the Treble and deep yet mellow Bass. Restored to Museum quality.
Case measurements: 17-1/2” x 6” x 5”
