Early 1890s 15-1/2" Polyphon Disc Music Box

This is an early single comb model disc music box made by the innovator of the Disc Music Box technology, Polyphon. It is contained in a very striking Walnut veneered case with a beautifully intricate Inlay and Marquetry to the lid. The Polyphon music box co is also the parent company to the Regina Music Box company. The significance to this is that the Discs are interchangeable between these two companies making the future acquisition of additional discs very easy.
